041025-N-8704K-001 Arabian Gulf (25 October 2004) An S-3 Viking assigned to the “Diamond Cutters” of Air Control Squadron Three Zero fly over an oilrig in the Arabian Gulf during flight operation in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) and Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW 17) deployed June 7 and are operating in the Middle East region as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Units in the strike group are working closely with Multi-National Corps-Iraq and Iraqi forces to bring stability to the sovereign government of Iraq.
