On April 6, we welcomed, along with support from Rolling Thunder, Florida 4, the Flags of Honor Escorts Gold Star Families Memorial Ride (FL) that began in Pensacola Saturday and will continue throughout the state for the next 8 days.
Stops are made at veterans facilities and homes, memorials, parks, and veterans service organizations. The group honors veterans, Gold Star families, POW’s, MIAs and their families. Today at the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum a Gold Star and POW/MIA wreath were presented. Special guest, Ray Manzo, one of the two founders of Rolling Thunder Inc, our own Sam Houston, Chairman of the Board, and Ed Turner, Executive Director, did the honors for the POW/MIA wreath.
Rolling Thunder FL 4 accompanied the group to Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans’ Nursing Home in St. Augustine following the visit to the memorial and museum site at the Cecil Commerce Center.
We salute all who attended, including Patriot Guard riders and others!
