On August 12, 2026, the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and special guests welcomed Director Kelly McKeague and Capt. Montana Banks of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency’s Outreach & Communications team to the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum.

Director McKeague was pleased to see the tremendous progress made since his first visit for the museum’s groundbreaking in 2020.

The missions of DPAA and the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum are closely aligned, and plans are moving forward to establish a formal partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding. We look forward to sharing additional updates as this important relationship develops.

DPAA is currently featured in a temporary exhibit inside the Chapel. The museum is open to the public on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and admission is free.

We invite you to visit and learn more about the continuing mission to account for America’s missing service members and honor their service and sacrifice.
