On 20 and 21 August, the 19th annual Legacy Run’s fourth day ended and the last leg commenced at the National POW/MIA Memorial site.   The American Legion Legacy Run is a fundraising motorcycle ride organized by the American Legion Riders (ALR). This year’s ride supported the American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation, which addresses the needs of veterans and military families.  A wreath laying ceremony was conducted after the riders arrived on the afternoon of 20 August. Paying tribute with the wreath laying was American Legion National Commander,  James LaCoursiere; American Legion Auxiliary National President, Trish Ward; American Legion Riders National Chairman, Mark Clark, and first-year Chief Road Captain Ken Nadeau.

On hand to enthusiastically greet the 350+ riders were more than 60 American Legion Fifth District members, family, friends and supporters.  A early morning inspiring flyover by the Dreamland Squadron highlighted the Legacy Run final day send-off.  The 2025 Legacy Run began in South Boston, Virginia on 17 August and culminated at the American Legion National Convention in Tampa, FL on 21 August and raised over $400,000 for the American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.
