On March 30th, we had the pleasure of hosting members of the St. Joseph Academy on a field trip to the Memorial. About 25 9th through 12th grade students and faculty were provided an overview of the National POW-MIA Memorial and Museum, a discussion on the Vietnam Veterans’ Day (which was the day before) and were given a tour of the project.
The school participates in numerous civic events like the St. Johns County Veterans Day, Wreaths Across America, and Memorial Day programs. They also have an interview a veteran program to write stories and have them published in their annual” Since You Asked” TM and send the stories to the Library of Congress.
